I first aspired to be an Electrician after completing a work experience programme at school in year 10. I began my Electrical Apprenticeship in 2012 after finishing school. During my apprenticeship I worked predominantly for a company called Team Electrical. The work consisted of mid to large Commercial/Industrial construction sites such as new Shopping centres, Schools, Age Care facilities and many Industrial warehouses.
I completed my trade certificate in 2015 at age 21, by that point I knew that I wanted to operate my own Electrical Contracting Business one day and that I needed to focus my energy on raising capital. My first job as a tradesman was working as a FIFO electrician to Newman for Lend Lease. During this time I completed my Electrical Contractors License and set up Paramount Power in 2016 at age 22.
I wanted to streamline my capital raising for the business so I decided to move to live in Newman at the start of 2017. I dedicated a year working full-time for Ahrens Group a construction and engineering contractor who’s main client is BHP. Most of my time spent at Ahrens was on the BHP accommodation camp upgrade of Whaleback Village and Kalgan’s Rest.
Early 2018, an opportunity presented itself too change to an 8 days on 6 days off FIFO position for BHP’s Housing maintenance department, this gave me a steady transition into working full-time for Paramount Power. During this period, Paramount Power completed retail shop fit-outs at Mandurah Forum, Rockingham Central, Morley Galleria, Lakeside Joondalup and Carousel shopping centres. I also installed over 80 split system AC units throughout the Newman township while staying up in Newman on my 6 days off. I also completed a diploma in Building & Construction during this time.
In January 2019 I moved back down to Perth to work on Paramount Power full-time. I also volunteer a portion of my time to give back to the community. I am now training for a 100km ultra marathon to raise money for White Ribbon Australia in support of Domestic Violence Survivors.
Our is to be WA’s definitive choice for the delivery of quality electrical services in the commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
